I've wanted to draw Tori Amos for a while now; she's so talented and a great inspiration for me so this is my way of paying tribute to her 
I started this in July ’05, but didn't have the temper back then to draw more than the outline of her face. I pulled myself together about two weeks ago and began again. It was quite a challenge to draw this, but fun too, so I think I'll do more of these half- or full figured people later on.
0.5 mechanical HB pencil, 3B, 5B and 8B pencils.
Kneaded eraser, tortillions and paper tissues

I'm really enjoying the shading, and excellent rending of her features. I admire your use of dark shades and lines because I am too timid when I draw to get such a dramatic contrast.
